Cloud Operations Engineer II - Internal candidates only
Innovative Systems is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to work at our World Headquarters location in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating Innovative's hosted (SaaS) solutions and ensuring Innovative's high data security and integrity standards.
Our Cloud Operations team support Innovative clients in over 60 countries and our servers in multiple locations around the world. The team currently processes over 95 billion cloud transactions annually with volumes growing.
The ideal candidate will have prior SQL Server experience implementing software products within a Cloud (SaaS) environment; be highly motivated and team-focused with a passion for achieving high standards; and ensuring overall availability and performance of our cloud services against our service level agreements (SLAs).
Note: This position requires working hours of 2:00 PM - 12:00AM Eastern, Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM every other Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES - what you will be doing include….
- Implement Innovative’s software products in cloud computing environments
- Effectively triage and alert appropriate staff during cloud outages
- Maintain Cloud resources
- Scoping projects accurately
- Effectively manage complex cloud operations projects
- Develop SQL scripts and custom software processes
- Streamline Cloud Operations interactions with other departments
- Debug performance issues of the entire cloud environment
- Develop and run batch processes to process client data in accordance with client specifications
- Lead and participate in remote maintenance of all servers supporting cloud services on a global basis
- Act as a technical resource to the Technical Customer Experience and other internal teams
- Develop tools and processes for internal use
- Integrate client systems and processes onto Innovative’s host systems and processes
- Support web service calls and set up customer processes
- Monitor hardware, software, and database activity at ISI’s 3rd-party data centers
- Respond to and resolve issues in a timely manner, engage other team members as appropriate
- Provide support to the internal Professional Services teams as other internal teams as needed including: project support, pre-sales technical assistance, client needs analysis, and client training; and
- Other responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS you must have include....
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or related STEM major
- Skilled with SQL server or equivalent database experience
- Experience with at least one of the following: C, C++,C#, .Net, Java, JavaScript, HTML, or XML
- Technical expertise with Windows OS or ability to learn
- Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic and extreme attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively alone and as a collaborator
- High analytic with strong problem-solving / creative thinking skills
- High level intellectual curiosity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willing and able to work occasional 24 x 7 on-call support rotation (approximately 1 week per every 4-5 weeks)
ADDITIONALLY it’s a plus if you have...
- Experience with Power Shell or batch scripting
- Server side testing experience with Web Services
- Prior successful experience in a customer / product support role
- Fluency in additional spoken languages
